Howard Viegelahn, is the owner and manager of Viegelahn Farms and Investments, Inc., a family farm operating in Rogers City, Michigan. Seed potato is their specialty as well as acting agent for Wilber Ellis, Inc. as custom applicators. Mr. Viegelahn has spent many years actively voicing farmer concerns at local and state levels Ð most recently he spent 6 days in Washington, D.C. working on the Farm Bill and EPA issues concerning chemical registration. His interests focus on farmers, irrigation and water rights, and environmental issues. Mr. Viegelahn is the former president of the Michigan Potato Industry Commission. Currently he resides on the Board of Directors for both Michigan Potato Industry Commission and Potato Growers of Michigan.
