Jay Rendall , Minnesota Department of Natural Resources

Since 1991, Jay Rendall has been the Exotic Species Coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. He first began working on exotics species issues in 1987 when he was appointed to be Coordinator of Minnesota's Purple Loosestrife Program. From 1989 to 1991, Jay chaired the Minnesota Interagency Exotic Species Task Force that prepared a comprehensive report on exotic species for the Minnesota Legislature. In 1993, he was elected to chair the Great Lakes Panel on Aquatic Nuisance Species and remains Minnesota's representative to the panel. More recently, he became the chair of the Aquatic Nuisance Species Committee of the Mississippi Interstate Cooperative Resources Association (MICRA), is a member of the MN Department of Agriculture - Noxious Weed Potential Evaluation Committee, and is co-chair of the Minnesota Invasive Species Advisory Committee.
