Michael Call, Crystal Mountain

Michael Call, a University of Michigan graduate, has been employed at Crystal Mountain since 1974 (28 years). As Vice President of Mountain Operations, Michael is in charge of lifts, snowmaking, grooming, and ski patrol in the winter, golf course and landscape maintenance in the summer. He is also responsible for the resort´s utilities, including water, sewer, gas, telephone, cable, as well as any additions and new construction. Crystal Mountain and promotes several ecotourism activities, including the Benzie County´s theme "Northern Michigan Preserved." In Crystal Mountain´s own development, Michael attempts to follow that same theme, realizing that the natural beauty of the area is our greatest resource.
