Geography Building

The Geography Building, new home of the Geography Department since Fall 2005.

Geography Building

The Geography Department has recently relocated to the Geography Building on the northeast part of the MSU campus.

Most of the department's faculty and staff are housed here and 30-40 graduate students can be accommodated with office space. The building has three conference rooms and three computer labs with 16 stations each. Two of the labs are PC-based and one is UNIX, all connected to a large array of servers and peripheral equipment, all at gigabit transmission speed. The Department also has extensive laboratory facilities to support climate, soils, plant, and spatial analysis research and teaching.

The Department also houses the RS&GIS Aerial Imagery Archive used for historical and environmental research.
