Technical Requirements for this Course
Hardware and Software Requirements

This course requires the VU Minimum Technical Requirements.

  • Minimum screen resolution of 800x600 (1024x768 recommended); color monitor; 4 Mb video RAM (8 Mb recommended).
  • HIGH SPEED connection to the Internet, due to image-file sizes this is mandatory.
  • Go to the ANGEL Help page to test your setup. On this page, scroll down to the "Browser test" heading to see whether your current setup passes. If you fail any of the tests, please correct the problem or contact the Help Desk (see contact info above).

Note: There is a known problem with Netscape 6 and Shockwave Player; it does not currently function satisfactorily in Netscape 6. Macromedia and Netscape are actively working to resolve the issues. However, they recommend using an earlier version of the Netscape browser.

We strongly recommend that you view this course site in:

  • PC: Internet Explorer 7.0 or above; Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or above
  • Mac: Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or above

We strongly recommend that you visit the ANGEL help site for more information about running ANGEL properly on your computer.

You must use a PC for completion of your (lab) exercises. The required programs will not run on a Mac.
